Hi all! I’ve played on this server for quite some time now and have found it really enjoyable (though I might be a bit biased since it's the only server I play on).
I noticed that very few people play the Magic Imperial Guard, so I thought I’d share my two cents and put together a quick guide!
Pros & Cons
Pros
Extremely Tanky: You simply don't die (yes, including in Tomb of Remorse and other high-end content).
Easy Playstyle: You can practically play with one hand since you main one skill (Cross Rain) while sipping coffee or eating chocolate.
Unique Build: It’s rare to see—I might actually be the only one playing it here!
Cons
Element Locked: You are locked to Holy, meaning your damage will struggle against high-level, holy-resistant dungeons/bosses.
Leveling Guide
Follow Badumtes' Guide for general leveling. I don't have much to add here since this class is fairly straightforward and easy to level up.
Bossing Skill Rotation
Because this server enables all skills post-4th job, I suggest using Cross Rain, Judgement Cross, and Shield Shooting together.
Why Shield Shooting?
It performs surprisingly well even without dedicated physical gear, and it helps regenerate AP for your rotation.
Gear Progression
(Note: This gear path is tailored specifically for this server)
1. Entry Set
Terra Gloria Set: Get this to start out. Save your Cor Cores and Mysterious Components for the intermediate tier.
2. Intermediate / Transition Set
Illusion Gear (Perfect Enchanted): This can realistically be your end-game set if you don't want to farm for Gray Wolf. At this point, you can start running Tomb of Remorse (no need to kill the main boss—just farm the materials to trade for gear).
3. End-Game Set
Gray Wolf Set & Poenitentia Weapon (Well-Enchanted): Budget around 1,000 materials for Gray Wolf crafting/enchants and 500 Ester Powders for Poenitentia grading.
Final Thoughts
That’s all for now! It’s a short guide, but I might refine it in the future as new updates come out. Let me know what you think in the comments, and feel free to reach out—I’m active on Discord!
